One of Fox’s latest Blu-ray titles, Hitman, offers a Digital Download for iTunes and for Windows Media “Play for Sure”.  Windows Media “Play for Sure” is a .wmv file that gets copied right off of a second disc (DVD) included in the package. We all know the Zune can play wmv’s. iTunes users get their own file (.m4v) off of a server. After getting the “Play for Sure” wmv file, it plays just file in Windows Media player. However, the Zune software doesn’t want anything to do with it, as you can see in the screen capture above.

It may not be Microsoft’s fault completely, but why can’t the Zune play these? I have a Zune, but I can’t play this legitimate file!  Thanks! Maybe next time Microsoft?
